Sweet Valley Gr 4 classes made their own cuttings of Cape Lavender (Plectranthus neochilus). To consolidate their understanding of plant structures they created their own plant using the technique of wax rubbing leaves.

We all need to know that plants have roots, stems, leaves and flowers and the function of each part.
If a piece of stem breaks off and falls to the ground, roots will develop from the nodes where the leaves arise.
Each child constructed their own plant and decided which kind of pollinator would visit to collect nectar
