Plant books, especially John Manning’s Fynbos Book, are a mine of information
We’ll be observing plants in microscopic detail using a dissecting microscope linked to the TV and learning together in a variety of activities to expand your existing knowledge and develop your innate plant intuition.
Cost: R3000 this includes : tea,coffee and healthy snacks and notes, dissecting tools, a hand lens with a light and a handy hand made bag to carry everything in and of course your Manning book.
Venue: the Fynbos Room: 7 Lysander Way, Meadowridge
Date: Tuesday 1 to Friday 4 October, with optional half day field trip on Saturday 5 October.
Time: 9h00 -16h00
Pre-requisites: nothing other than a keen interest in plants and willingness to learn ‘plant speak’
Bring: your Manning Fynbos Book, stationary and notebook and a file with blank paper and plastic envelopes, lunches to share.
